1. The spirit of Friend Indeed

Friend Indeed exists for one thing: helping people get a little help from the contacts who already know them. Your help requests are seen only by your mutual contacts — people you have saved who have saved you back. This is a small, trusted circle, not a public marketplace. These Guidelines keep that circle honest, kind and safe. Breaking them can lead to content removal, suspension, a permanent ban, and — for unlawful activity — referral to the authorities.

Remember: money never moves through Friend Indeed. Any gift is sent directly between contacts using their own payment methods, outside the App. Always confirm who you are helping before you send anything — gifts cannot be reversed by us.

2. What's welcome

Please do:

  • Be honest and accurate about your situation.
  • Ask your real contacts for genuine, personal help.
  • Keep requests respectful and clear.
  • Help when you can and want to — it's always voluntary.
  • Report anything that looks fake, abusive or unsafe.
  • Respect people's privacy and their choice to help or not.

Please don't:

  • Invent, exaggerate or stage an emergency or need.
  • Pretend to be someone else or use another person's details.
  • Ask for a loan, repayment, interest or investment.
  • Frame requests as charity, business or tax-deductible fundraising.
  • Spam contacts or post duplicate requests.
  • Pressure, guilt-trip, harass or threaten anyone.

3. Honest transfer marking

Friend Indeed relies on the honest marking of sent and received transfers. Because money moves outside the App and these figures are user-reported, inaccurate status updates — intentional or not — erode the accountability that makes the App work.

  • Only mark a transfer as Sent after you have actually sent it.
  • Only mark a transfer as Received after you have actually received it.
  • If there is a discrepancy — nothing arrived, or the wrong amount did — report it on the transfer. The sender is notified and you can resolve it directly with them.
  • Do not pressure anyone to acknowledge receipt before a transfer has arrived.

4. Prohibited content and behaviour

The following are not allowed anywhere on Friend Indeed and may be removed and reported:

  • Fake or misleading requests — false emergencies, fabricated needs, exaggerated circumstances, or misleading/stolen photos.
  • Impersonation & identity theft — pretending to be another person or organisation, or using someone's identity or images.
  • Scams & deception — phishing, fraud, deceptive schemes, or attempts to trick people into sending money.
  • Loans & investments — requesting or offering loans, repayment, interest, returns, equity, or any consideration. Friend Indeed is for gifts only.
  • Money laundering, terrorism financing & sanctions evasion.
  • Illegal goods or activity — weapons, drugs, stolen goods, trafficking, or anything unlawful.
  • Violence & hate — threats, incitement, harassment, bullying, or hate speech targeting people based on protected characteristics.
  • Sexual & adult content — pornographic or sexually explicit content.
  • Medical misinformation — false or dangerous health claims.
  • Privacy violations — posting other people's personal information, or sharing screenshots or details of another person's request, without a lawful basis or their consent.
  • Spam & abuse of the App — bulk or repetitive requests, scraping, or interfering with the service.

5. Child safety — zero tolerance

Friend Indeed prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and any sexualisation of minors, absolutely and without exception. The App is for adults only (18+). We remove such content immediately, permanently ban those responsible, preserve evidence, and report to law enforcement and relevant child-protection authorities. To report suspected CSAE, use the in-app report tool immediately, or email support@friendindeed.app.

6. Reporting and blocking

If something breaks these Guidelines:

  • Report a request or user with the in-app report tool — open a request card's three-dot menu (at the bottom of the card) and choose Report this request, then pick a reason and submit. Reports are confidential.
  • Block a contact to stop them contacting you or seeing your requests — from a request card's three-dot menu choose Block, or from the Contacts tab open a contact's three-dot menu and choose Block, then confirm.
  • Contact us at support@friendindeed.app for any safety concern or other question.

We aim to review reports within 24 hours. See our Safety & Fraud Policy for how we investigate and act.

7. What happens if you break the rules

Depending on severity and history, we may remove content, issue a warning, limit features, suspend or permanently terminate your account, block your device, and — for unlawful conduct — preserve and disclose data to, and cooperate with, the authorities. Repeat offenders are banned. We aim to offer notice and an appeal route where appropriate (write to support@friendindeed.app), but may act immediately in serious cases.

8. Updates

We may update these Guidelines as the community and the law evolve. We'll post changes in the App and update the date above. Questions? Contact support@friendindeed.app.
